Hi Again, I forgot to mention that we're working on a new menu. We've added Homemade Pastrami that even New Yorkers say is GREAT! We make it into a plain pastrami sandwich or into a Pastrami Ruben. On the new menu, it'll also be part of the combo platter. We'll also be offering smaller appetizers, since the normal one's are way too big for one person. We've added some of the old Friendly's Bar & Grill favorites like Chicken Marsala and Francais! On the new menu it'll be calls "Chicken Special of the Day" Also for starters we've added "Smokin' Tailpipes" which are 12" tortillas, wrapped tightly around brisket burnt ends and cheese, deep fried and served with refried beans. We've also added some pretty good mozzarella sticks and my favorite, deep fried dill pickle chips. I had the pickles a long time ago at Memphis BBQ in Las Vegas but have not been able to duplicate until a few weeks ago. Our new beer batter made it possible.
In case you haven't been to our places, out "Shack" (mostly takeout) is located in Forked River at 605A Rt. 9 (South of Lacey Road) It's only open on Fri - Sun for the winter. (We still are there almost everyday, since that's where the main Southern Pride Smoker is located. Our relatively new location (as of April) is in Friendly's Bar & Grill (We took over their Kitchen in April 08) Located in the Berkeley Plaza (Near Shoprite) at 439 Rt. 9, Bayville, about 7 miles North of the place in Forked River.
