I write, I eat, I eat, I write! I come from a line that takes family meals seriously, and although the boys spent the most time in the kitchen, my appreciation for a meal well-cooked is no less developed.
Favorite Restaurant in New Jersey?
Lately, I'd have to say the best meal I've had in the state was at One 53 in Rocky Hill. Incredible.

Going (Mustard) Greens

Like lots of others, I made a vow this year to start eating both more locally and more seasonally. While I haven’t exactly kept to my goal of trying a new farmer’s-market find every week – guilty, as charged –I recently grabbed a few bunches of mustard greens from the Hopewell Community Farmer’s Market, which I’m blessed to have in walking distance.

Pier House in Cape May

This past weekend my boyfriend and I took a little Jersey adventure trip, stopping in AC and Cape May. AC: pretty nice chicken satay at the Continental. But in Cape May, we tried out the Pier House on our B&B hostess' recommendation, and it was fabulous. It's a bit of a hike from the main downtown area, but a lovely walk on a breezy night.
