Arthur's Tavern in Morristown

Not sure if we are just picky or what, but we were not impressed with this restaurant. I ordered my steak medium well and it was EXTREMELY pink and my husband ordered a steak that was well done and it looked barely cooked... it could have still been mooing! I had the combo of the junior steak and shrimp scampi... the shrimp was overcooked.

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if we hit it on a bad night. Also, don't bother taking the kids. They only offer a hot dog or grilled cheese... no fries, no chips or anything.

I know it's been rated highly with all the county "best of" reviews, but we really were not impressed. And, it wasn't like they were completely swamped it was a weeknight and plenty of empty tables.

Agreed. I don't know what the fuss is all about. Like you said, you can't even get a side of fries. Maybe it's just me but it also seemed a little dirty.

What a relief that it wasn't just us! I am certainly going to take this friend's recommendations with a grain of salt going forward...
